
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has successfully completed all accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Nigerians willing to perform the 2026 HAJJ
.
This according to the commission was achieved ahead of the stipulated deadline.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, in a statement issued on Monday by his Technical Assistant ( Media )Ahmad Muazu, revealed that the Commission has concluded the uploading, verification, and approval of accommodation facilities in both Makkah and Madinah, with formal acceptance granted by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
He hinted that the early completion follows a clear directive from the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, GCON, who emphasized strict adherence to Saudi timelines as a means of protecting Nigeria’s Hajj operations and ensuring smooth participation for pilgrims.


Professor Usman expressed appreciation for the Vice President’s consistent oversight and support, while also commending the collective efforts of the NAHCON Board, the Nusuk Masar platform team, members of the Forum of State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, NAHCON staff, and other key stakeholders. He also acknowledged the impact of the high-level delegation deployed to Saudi Arabia to facilitate the process.
By concluding this critical phase on schedule, Nigeria has secured its accommodation slots for the 2026 Hajj and joined the group of countries that have met one of the most important operational requirements within the approved Saudi framework.
NAHCON has now shifted focus to subsequent stages of preparation as arrangements for the 2026 Hajj continue to advance.
