
The Saki West Local Government has announced the immediate removal of Hon. Kolade Felix Ojo, who served as the Political Head of Asabari Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and Secretary of the local government.
The decision, approved by the Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Akinola, was disclosed in an official statement released on Tuesday.
Although the local government cited administrative restructuring and the need to strengthen governance as basis for his removal .


Reports indicated that the development followed Ojo’s appearance at the governorship declaration event of Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, a media entrepreneur contesting the 2027 Oyo State governorship election on the platform of the Accord Party.
In the statement, the council leadership emphasized that the move forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency, accountability, and service delivery across the local government.
The council Chairman commended the former Secretary for his contributions during his tenure and extended best wishes for his future engagements, noting that further administrative directives would be communicated in due course.
Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat formally declared his governorship ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections, a development that has continued to generate political reactions across the state.
