
The Provost of Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Eleyele, Ibadan, Dr.Gbonjubola Owolabi has extended warm felicitations to workers across the institution and beyond on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration.
In a statement released on Friday , 1st of May ,2026 by the College’s Public Relations Officer, Fasasi Ismail, the Provost lauded the dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment of workers, particularly in the health and education sectors, noting that their contributions remain vital to the growth and development of the state.

She emphasized that the College continues to benefit immensely from the professionalism and diligence of its staff, whose collective efforts have sustained the institution’s reputation for excellence in nursing and midwifery education.
She further reiterated the management’s commitment to staff welfare, capacity building, and the provision of a conducive working environment that enables workers to perform optimally.

While acknowledging the challenges faced by workers in the current socio-economic climate, the Provost encouraged them to remain steadfast and continue to uphold the values of integrity, service, and compassion in the discharge of their duties.
The statement also called for renewed dedication to duty, teamwork, and a shared vision towards achieving greater milestones for the College and the healthcare sector at large.
