
The Oyo State Government has officially launched the Digital Land Survey Plan Registry to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accountability in land administration, marking a significant step towards modernising the state’s land management system and improving access to survey records and related services.
Speaking at the Launching Ceremony held at the Office of Surveyor-General, Secretariat, Ibadan, the Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development,Hon. Akin-Funmilayo Williams said the Land Survey Plan Registry is an innovative platform designed to modernize the registration, management, verification, and spatial analysis of survey plans.

The Commissioner who spoke through the Oyo State Surveyor-General,Sur. Adesoji Adeoye explained that (DLSPR), is a landmark initiative that reinforces its commitment to digital transformation, transparency, and efficient land administration across the State.
He maintained that digitalizing Land Survey Plan Registry will make the platform provides faster, more secure, and more reliable services to licensed surveyors, land professionals, investors, government agencies, and the general public.


He commended His Excellency, the
Executive Governor of Oyo State, for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to
leveraging technology as a catalyst for good governance and improved public service delivery.
He said Governor ‘Seyi Makinde led administration has been instrumental in bringing this transformative initiative to fruition.
“The DLSPR represents a major milestone in strengthening the integrity of land records, improving service delivery, reducing processing times, and enhancing public confidence in Oyo State’s land
administration system.
“It also supports evidence-based planning and sustainable development by
providing improved access to accurate and reliable geospatial information.
“As part of the implementation process, the training of 40 personnel commenced today to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required for the effective operation and management of the Digital Land Survey Plan Registry.
” The Office of the Surveyor-General encourages all trainees to demonstrate dedication, commitment, and professionalism throughout the programme,recognizing the critical role they will play in ensuring the successful deployment and long-term sustainability of the initiative.
He therefore confirmed that digital platform and
training programme are sponsored by the Oyo State Government through a Public-Private
Partnership (PPP) between the Oyo State Government (OYSG) and Private Networks Nigeria Limited.
He explained that upon successful completion of the training, participants will be offered temporary
employment opportunities to support the deployment and operation of the Digital Land Survey plan Registry.
He appreciated the Federal School of
Surveying, Oyo, for its invaluable support and technical contributions to the successful
implementation of the initiative.
He noted that the institution’s partnership has further strengthened the State’s
efforts to build local capacity and advance modern land administration practices.
