Enyimba FC Chairman, FIFA Amb. Kanu Nwankwo has extended his benevolence to young players of Immortality Academy in Uyo.
He was present at the Uyo Township Stadium when Akwa United held Enyimba to a 0-0 draw in a preseason game on Saturday.
After the match, players of the academy who were ball boys for the encounter crowded him, chanting his name. He had a discussion with the boys, urging them to be disciplined.
“You have to be disciplined and listen to your coaches if you want to be a big star like Kanu,” he told the boys.
He asked them what they wanted him to do for them. One of the voices said they wanted sponsorship and he promised to grant their request.
The boys were happy after he gave them words of encouragement and having his word that he would assist them in any way possible.
