As of Monday, NNPC retail outlets in Lagos and Abuja have implemented the new petrol prices, with Lagos seeing a price increase to N915 per litre and Abuja to N945 per litre. This represents a N45 increase in Lagos and a N35 increase in Abuja compared to previous rates.
In Ibadan , petrol now sells for N925 per litre at NNPC outlets. This adjustment follows the recent price hike by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, which raised its ex-depot price from N825 to N880 per litre.
The new petrol prices were visibly displayed at NNPC retail outlets in Abuja and Lagos. In Abuja, stations in Kubwa and along Obasanjo Way showed the revised price of N945 petrol litre, while in Lagos, outlets in Igando and along the Badagry Expressway displayed the new rate of N915 per litre.

However, reports have it that the global prices of oil may see a spike following US President Donald Trump’s decision to strike three nuclear facilities in Iran, directly entering the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel.
