Oyo State Governor , Engr. Seyi Makinde, has declared Friday, June 27, 2025, a work-free day for civil and public workers in the state .
The declaration is to commemorate and celebrate the New Islamic Calendar Year (Hijrah) 1447AH.
This is contained In a statement signed on Wednesday and made available to journalists by the Secretary to the State government, Prof. Olanike Adeyemo.
Governor Makinde enjoined all and sundry to use the occasion to pray for peace, unity and prosperity of the State in particular, and Nigeria in general.
As the state marks this significant occasion, Governor Makinde’s administration remains committed to building a harmonious and prosperous Oyo State, where all citizens can live together in peace and mutual respect.
