
Sons and daughters of Oke Ogun Area of Oyo state have been urged to remain resolute and be committed to the overall development of the region .
This was part of the remarks made by various speakers and eminent personalities who graced the 2025 Annual Get Together of the Oke Ogun Indigenous Youths Solidarity Forum , an umbrella body of Oke Ogun Youths, saddled with the responsibility of promoting Oke Ogun region by uniting eminent indigenes of the area .
The annual event which brought successful and prominent individuals in the region together featured lecture with the theme Rebuilding Oke Ogun’s Legacy: Restoring our Historical Heritage, Transforming Education, Politics and Culture for Future Generations and presentation of awards of excellence to eminent personalities as well as awards of recognition, including Ace broadcast journalist, Jenrade Kaseem Abiodun of Oke Ogun Radio, Alaga , an annex of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State ( BCOS) .
Highlighting factors affecting the growth and development of Oke Ogun Area, the speakers admonished participants and indigenes of the region to work towards a common goal for the benefits of the region.
They emphasized that disunity and desperate pursuance of individual’s ambition wouldn’t yield positive result but hinder the progress of the zone.
In separate interviews, Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Moses Alake ,Former, Member , Federal House of Representatives, Hon.Shina Peller, the Oniro of Otu, Oba Sunday Oyetunde Adepoju Ayilola III, Representative of Aseyin, Chief Isiak Adeoti and Representative of Iseyin Local Government, Vice Chairman, Iseyin Local Council, Hon . Oladipupo Solomon , opined that it became imperative for the people of Oke Ogun to stay focused and be united for the overall development of the region .
They stressed that the unity of Oke Ogun is sacrosanct and not negotiable as the 2027 election draws nearer .
While admonishing oke ogun youths to be vanguard of positive change and rapid transformation,
the National President; Miners Association of Nigeria Chief Dele Ayanleke, Abdul Qudir Oluwabusayo, Pastor Favour Adewoyin and Prince Isiak Adeoti called for the industrialization of oke ogun area through partnership arrangements and productively engaged youths for the progress of the region.
Among the dignitaries present at the occasion were Col. Gbega Adegbola , the Head of Channel, Oke Ogun Radio, Princess Adedamola Orioke and the Commercial officer, Oke Ogun fm, Alaga, Mr. Abdul wasiu Asimiyi.
