
Nigeria Scrabble Federation has announced Sufyan Olojoku as the team lead for Nigeria in the Pan African Youth Scrabble Championship, scheduled to hold in Kenya from 14th to 17th of August, at Brighton International School in Syokimau, Machakos County.
This was contained in an official statement signed by NSF spokesperson, Maxwell Kumoye, on Friday
Sufyan Olojoku was chosen to lead Team Nigeria due to his leadership skills, calmness and experience.

Sufyan has done very well in various competitions and won several medals.
In 2021, he won a silver medal at the National Youth Games, In 2023, he won two gold medals and a silver medal. Sufyan also represented Nigeria in the World Youth Scrabble Championship in 2024 and the African Scrabble Youth Championship, where he came fifth.
Following his graduation from Government Day Secondary School, Adewole, Ilorin in 2021, Sufyan Olojoku is set to join KWASU to study Medical Laboratory Science.
Sufyan Olojoku will compete in the U-19 category at the Pan African Youth Scrabble Championship after representing Nigeria at the World Youth Scrabble Championship in Sri Lanka last year.
Team Nigeria is expected to leave the country for Kenya from Lagos on Monday via Asky Airline .
The team has players sponsored by different states – four from Kwara, two from Bayelsa, and one each from Lagos, Edo, Niger, and Akwa Ibom.
According to the organizers, the championship will include two age categories – Under 15 and Under 19 – with 150 players from 11 countries set to participate.
The following are to represent Nigeria in the female category; Sophia Ekeruche,Joy Eberechukwu Nwabuzor and Eliana Igbe .
Male representatives include Saviour Onazi, Hassan Olojoku, Sufyan Olojoku,Abdulqudus Aliu
Khalid Olosun, Prestige Archibong and Damilola Adeleke .
Meanwhile, two Nigerian players , David Ojih and Prestige Archibong won the under 19 and 15 titles respectively of the 2023 edition held in Nigeria , Chrisland School, Lekki, Lagos State.
