Tottenham’s Coach, Thomas Frank, has praised his team for their performance in the team’s UEFA super cup final match despite losing to PSG.
Thomas Frank in his post match interview on Wednesday said his side “gave everything” and “gave away nothing” for 75-80 minutes against a team with exceptional individual talent.
He also highlighted the team’s tactical approach, describing it as a “special operation” that almost succeeded.
PSG defeated Tottenham Hotspur (4 -3) in a penalty shootout after the match ended 2-2 in regular time.
Tottenham was in charge in the early period of the game with Micky van de Ven scoring in the 39th minute. Cristian Romero doubled the lead just after halftime.
However, PSG showed remarkable resilience, fighting back to level the score in the last 10 minutes of the game. Lee Kang-in scored a stunning goal in the 85th minute, and Gonçalo Ramos equalized in stoppage time with a well-taken header from Ousmane Dembele’s cross.
The match then went into extra time, but neither team could find a winner, setting the stage for a penalty shootout.

PSG emerged victorious, with Nuno Mendes scoring the winning penalty.
However, PSG coach, Luis Enrique, praised his team’s resilience, saying they were “very lucky” to score two goals in the last 10 minutes.
The win marks PSG’s first-ever UEFA Super Cup title, and it’s a significant achievement for the French club. Tottenham, on the other hand, will look to bounce back from this defeat as they start their Premier League campaign against Burnley.
