The building of Ajayi Crowther University Radio Station “Crowther FM” 88.5 Oyo was on fire yesterday following a faulty solar panel as the inferno spread rapidly across the ceiling.
Thanks to the staffers of both the state and federal fire services whose expertise ensured that no injuries or fatalities occurred during the incidence .
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers of electrical malfunctions, even in systems designed to promote sustainability.
Despite the solar panel being unplugged due to persistent issues, it still emitted a glow that ultimately led to the blaze.



This unexpected development caught staff members off guard, but they quickly sprang into action, using fire extinguishers to try and contain the inferno before the arrival of the professionals .
The fire department’s swift intervention prevented further damage to the building.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway to determine the cause of the malfunction and identify potential safety measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
