Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District , Senator Yunus Akintunde ( Ph.d), has further demonstrated his commitment to the development of his constituents with the commencement of a three – day capacity building and empowerment programme for youths in his constituent .
The empowerment programme, commenced on Monday is expected to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to build a carrier in Solar Photovoltaic and entrepreneurship at the end of the training on Wednesday .
The ongoing training is in collaboration with the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria ( NAPTIN ) and RITNON Resources Concept Nigeria Limited .
Delivering his welcome address at the event held at the PA Samuel Akinola Akinjobi Memorial Hall Akinmoorin in Oyo, Senator Yunus Akintunde lauded the efforts of the partners in bringing the programme into a reality .
Represented at the empowerment programme themed “the Training and Empowerment Program on Solar PV and Entrepreneurship for Youths in Oyo Central Senatorial District” by the General Coordinator for Senator Yunus Akintunde ( Ph.d) , Hon. Biodun Adeyemo, admonished participants to pay rap attention to every beat of the training sessions .
He encouraged the trainees to maximize the opportunity for both personal and community development.
The training session is being conducted by Engr. Abubakar Shuaib and his team from NAPTIN , while participants were drawn across Oyo Central Senatorial District.
