The Super Eagles of Nigeria have booked their place in the final stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers after an emphatic 4–1 victory over Gabon on Thursday evening at the Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.


The regulation period of the thrilling encounter ended 1-1. Nigeria came up stronger and better in the extra time with lofty movements and superb finish.
Chidera Ejuke gave Nigeria the lead in the 97th minute with a composed finish, before Super Star Striker, Victor Osimhen sealed the win with two brilliant goals in the 102nd and 110th minutes, completing a stunning turnaround for the Super Eagles.
With the victory, Nigeria will face the winner between Cameroon and Dr Congo , who are currently on the field of play in the final of the play off scheduled for Sunday , November 16 in Morocco.
