
President Bola Tinubu has confirmed that 38 abducted worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State and
51 out of the abducted students of a Catholic school in Niger State have regained freedom from captivity.
In a post on the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) ‘X’ handle, on Sunday, the President said the recovery of the victims were made possible following intensified operations by Nigeria’s security forces.
He said he has been receiving continuous updates from the security frontline and is monitoring developments across the country.
The President reiterated his commitment to restoring peace and protecting citizens in all parts of the country, declaring that every Nigerian has the right to safety.


Recall that the president cancelled his planned trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to coordinate national security efforts.
