The Oyo State Government has inaugurated a multi-stakeholder committee to address the grievances of property owners and residents affected by the Senator Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road Project in Ibadan.
The newly inaugurated committee brings together representatives of impacted communities, Ibadan Mogajis from the six affected local government areas, council chairmen, and officials of the New Towns and Cities Development Authority. Its mandate is to critically examine all submissions from stakeholders and ensure that government standards on setbacks and road corridor regulations are duly observed.
Speaking after the inauguration at the New Towns and Cities Development Authority, Mrs. Mofoluke Adebiyi, Executive Adviser to the Governor on New Towns and Cities Development, emphasized that the committee would operate with fairness and justice in line with Governor Seyi Makinde’s instructions.

The move follows Governor Makinde’s recent visit to affected areas, where he assured residents that their recommendations would be harmonized with government plans for the 110-kilometre Circular Road project.
Hon. Sikiru Oyedele Sanda, Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, commended the governor for prioritizing community concerns. He pledged that issues relating to setbacks and developments within the road corridor would be jointly resolved by the agency, community leaders, and the Mogajis.
Also speaking, Engr. Abduljelil Adanla, representing the Mogajis, appealed for calm and encouraged residents to cooperate with the committee as it carries out its assignment.
Other committee members include officials from the Ministry of Lands and Urban Development as well as the Ministry of Works and Transport.
