Renowned Sports philanthropist, Mrs Clementina Doregos has called on Individuals, Government and corporate Organizations to invest in Nigeria youths through sports .
She gave this charge during a courtesy visit to the Mosan Okunola LCDA led by Honourable Opeyemi Adunni Akindele.
Doregos said Nigeria youths need to be engaged positively through sports .
She used the occasion to appreciate the council boss for her support for youths Within 100 days in office.Doregos who is the Sponsor of the Lagos Grassroots football competition and the Doregos inter schools Basketball Competition commended Akindele for impacting the Nigeria youths positively through sports .
We are here to thank you for the support you have given our youths since you resume office .As a former athlete and mother, it gives me joy when our youths are encouraged.
In her response,the chairman of Mosan Okunola LCDA, Honourable Opeyemi Adunni Akindele said her Administration has donated several match balls and Jerseys to grassroots clubs .This she said is to raise the next sports global super star within from Mosan Okunola LCDA.
Sports is one area we can use to keep our youth busy and we will continue to encourage them through sporting activities.
Sports, according to Adunni is key to national development and must be supported from Grassroots level.
Adunni Akindele said the council have completed various road projects within the LCDA with more currently going on .
“We have also improve on facilities in our schools .We constructed new toilets at the three schools within abesan estate .As I talk to you ,we have commenced work on 51 road at Gowon Estate while Work is going on at CRoad, Shagari Estate .
Also speaking at the occasion,the CEO of Wonderland Events,Tayo Adeyemo ,appreciated the council boss for the just concluded Cacatin Cup.
Recalled that participating teams at the Cacatin cup went home with match balls, courtesy of Mosan Okunola LCDA led by Honourable Opeyemi Adunni Akindele.
