
Ahead FC defeated Elite Talents 2nill to win the Maiden CACATIN Cup.
In a thrilling final played at the Abesan Youth Centre in Lagos, Ahead scored I each half through Joseph Kennedy and Chidozie Akachukwu to silence the vociferous elite supporters.
Elite dominated play but were porous in front of goal.
Afolarin Micheal of Ahead was adjudged best goalkeeper,while Saka Adeniran picked the most valuable player of the tournament.The award for best behaved team went to FC Shalom.
Award category was sponsored by Prostars Sports,the kits partner for the competition.The company also provided Match balls and Teeshirts to guests, referees,Press ,and Coaches .
The third place match was won by Adwaiik who defeated SGH 4-3 in an entertaining match .
Speaking at the occasion, Chairnan, Lagos Taskforce,CSP Adetayo Akerele , who chair the occasion commended the participating teams for displaying their talents in positive way.
He assured Nigerian youths that the agency will continue to support youths Programmes,this he believes will reduce crime rate in the country.
Founder of Cacatin Group,Chief Olatunji Yusuf Lawal, said the company is proud of
Wonderland Events for staging the competition.
He then assured continuos sponsorship of the event .
A delighted Dr Yusuf also announced the donation of additional 500,000 for the champion.
Chairman, Mosan Okunola LCDA, Honourable Opeyemi Akindele commended Cacatin Group for investing in Nigeria Youths through Sports .She charged Nigerian youths to remain steadfast to nation building and promote national unity .
