The conclusion of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ 14-Federal Constituency Tour has reinforced the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) push to rebuild internal cohesion and expand its grassroots base across Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The tour ended on Tuesday at Ibadan North Federal Constituency, where party leaders and supporters converged for a Unity and Peace rally aimed at strengthening party structures and consolidating support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Former Senate Leader and Oyo State Ambassador for Renewed Hope, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, said the tour marked a turning point for the party, noting that earlier setbacks, including the loss of the Ibadan North federal constituency by-election, were the result of internal disagreements that have now been resolved.

Folarin stated that the APC has emerged from the reconciliation process more united and strategically prepared to mobilise voters in support of President Tinubu’s re-election bid and reclaim the Oyo State governorship in 2027.
He also pointed to a growing wave of defections from opposition parties, describing the trend as a response to the Renewed Hope Agenda and improved confidence in the APC’s leadership direction.
In her remarks, Dr. (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi emphasised the importance of party discipline and sustained grassroots engagement, urging members to remain focused on rebuilding trust and strengthening ward-level structures.
Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, highlighted key achievements of the Tinubu administration, arguing that policy reforms and infrastructural initiatives have laid a foundation that warrants continuity beyond 2027.
Chief host of the event, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, described the rally as evidence of expanding political momentum, assuring supporters that the party is positioned to make significant electoral gains across the state.
The event attracted hundreds of new members from the Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party. The defectors, led by former council chairman Hon. Yusuf Shuab, Agba Egbe, former PDP local government chairman Hon. Seun Adelore, and Labour Party figures Hon. Babatunde Olugbenga and Hon. Afeez Abiola, cited inclusive governance and renewed confidence in APC leadership as reasons for their decision.
