
In a bid to appreciate their dedication to community development during their one year mandatory service, President Bola Tinubu , on Tuesday , approved the employment of 200 outstanding NYSC alumni into the federal Civil Service.
The employment opportunity was also extended to 10 physically challenged ex-corps members, who were injured in the line of duty.
This was made known by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha during the NYSC Honours Award Ceremony, held on Tuesday in Abuja.
Onyejeocha hinted that President Bola Tinubu also approved a ₦250,000 cash reward for each outstanding ex-NYSC member, in addition to automatic employment offers in the federal civil service.
The Minister noted that relevant authorities had been instructed by the president to expedite the process of onboarding the beneficiaries into the federal civil service .
She added that the awardees, including those with disabilities, will receive full scholarships for postgraduate studies up to the master’s level at any Nigerian university of their choice.
She commended the honorees for embodying the values of patriotism, discipline, teamwork, and commitment to national development.
