It was harvest of goals, emphatic victories and standout performances in the English Premier League on Saturday and other top leagues in Europe.
In the English Premier League, Chelsea began the day with a comfortable 2–0 away win at Burnley, while West Ham and Bournemouth produced a lively 2–2 draw in the early afternoon kick-off. Brighton edged Brentford 2–1 at home, while Fulham claimed a narrow 1–0 victory over Sunderland.
One of the biggest shocks of the day came at Anfield, where Nottingham Forest stunned Liverpool with a commanding 3–0 win. Crystal Palace also impressed, securing a 2–0 away win over Wolves, while Newcastle defeated Manchester City 2–1 in one of the headline fixtures of the day.
In Germany, Bayern Munich put on an attacking master class, thrashing Freiburg 6–2 in a dominant display. Borussia Dortmund were held to a dramatic 3–3 draw by Stuttgart, thanks to a hat-trick from Deniz Undav, who rescued a late equaliser for the visitors.
Spanish La Liga also served up notable results, Real Sociedad claimed a 3–1 victory over Osasuna. The biggest highlight came from Barcelona, who marked their return to the Camp Nou with an emphatic 4–0 win over Athletic Bilbao, showcasing their attacking fluidity and control.
Italy’s Serie A saw goals flowing across match venues . Cagliari and Genoa battled to a thrilling 3–3 draw, Fiorentina held Juventus to a 1–1 stalemate.
The day was defined by high-scoring matches, upsets as clubs continue their push in the 2025/2026 campaign.
