The three- day capacity building on Solar Photovoltaic and entrepreneurship Skills development packaged by the Senator, Oyo Central Senatorial District, Senator Yunus Akintunde ( Ph.D), came to a close on Wednesday as over sixty youths benefited from the laudable project.
Participants selected across the senatorial district of Senator Yunus , popularly known as ” Tona Tona Yunus “smiled home with various equipment needed to venture into the business, having gathered the skills and knowledge required to thrive in the business, through the support of seasoned instructors from the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria ( NAPTIN) .
Senator Yunus Akintunde, while speaking at the event held at the PA Samuel Akinola Akinjobi Memorial Hall, Akinmoorin in Oyo, called on the beneficiaries of the workshop to utilize the materials given for its purpose .
Senator Akintunde , who spoke through Hon. Tunde Akintunde wished participants success in their endeavors and urged them to be good ambassadors of their wards and Oyo Central Senatorial District.
In a separate interviews , beneficiaries of the project , Mr. Ogunkanbi Sakirudeen and Mr. Oladele Adelani , expressed delight over the conducts of the instructors and professionalism displayed throughout the period of the workshop.
The duo submitted that the empowerment programme remains a platform for a carrier progression ,while applauding Senator Yunus Akintunde for his commitment to youths empowerment over the years .
Ogunkanbi Sakirudeen speaks further ” This has been a learning experience for me , and have gained a lot despite the duration of the training. At this point, I can assemble solar components, not just a component, the right components”
“Ordinarily, one will expect that those who are fully in politics should benefit, but for me, I am not that really in politics. I encourage everyone, particularly my colleagues to support someone like Senator Yunus Akintunde ( Ph.d ) , if it has not gotten to you, I believe it will get to you, I don’t think it is stopping anytime soon , I think he has made it his own passion, his own desire to keep empowering youths “
The training, which had in attendance APC stalwarts in the Oyo Central Senatorial District and beyond was organized in partnership with NAPTIN and RITNON Resources Concept Nigeria Limited.
