Muslims have been enjoined to renew their faith in Allah and rededicate themselves to worship for them to overcome fear and temptations in the society.
Likewise, Muslim Students and youths are admonished to empower themselves with lawful skills for prosperous future.
The faithful, especially parents are also admonished to inculcate virtues of devotion to worship of Allah, scorn bad habits, exemplify good character and caution their children against greed and avarice.
A guest lecturer, Professor Dhikrullah Olurode gave the admonition while delivering a lecture titled: “Faith over Fear: Navigating Temptations in a Changing World” at the formal opening ceremony of the 115th Islamic Vacation Course, (IVC), organized by the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, (MSSN), B-Zone at Imolisa Village, Ogunmakin, Ogun State.

Professor Olurode equally tasked religious leaders to step up efforts towards teaching Islamic jurisprudence, preach doing good and forbid bad deeds to ensure a better society.
“Faith is an impetus to draw the soul to the obedience of Allah; fear is a positive or negative reaction to events, it could be insinuations from the devils and his cohorts, Olurode submitted.
In another presentation tailored along the theme of the IVC, “We are all Responsible”, the Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Dr Taofeek Abdul-Hameed pointed out that all humans are responsible for multi-faceted corruption as well as other challenges facing the world, hence the need for everyone to make it a moral obligation to act for the benefit of others, even when there is no personal gain.
“Islam establishes individual responsibility as a core principle; every soul is accountable before Allah for his/her actions, words and intentions “, said he.
The National Amir, MSSN, Ustaz Tajudeen Mustapha remarked that the IVC is the most impactful platform for spiritual rejuvenation, intellectual development, leadership grooming and collective reflection for Muslim students across Nigeria.
According to him, “IVC has always served as a space for faith renewal, knowledge deepening, brotherhood strengthening and purpose rediscovery”.
Ustaz Mustapha encouraged Muslim Students to uphold Islamic values, contribute positively to national development and project the true image of Islam through their conducts.
In his address, the Amir MSSN B-Zone, Mallam Moshood Kolawole noted that the 115th IVC is soul nourishing, moral re-awakening, spiritual rejuvenating, human capacity building and Islamic social networking.
Mallam Kolawole stressed that the theme “We are all Responsible” was to address collective culpability in socioeconomic challenges facing the nation and to proffer solutions as justification as Muslims, with the task of societal reformation.
The Chairman on the occasion, Dr Hassan Giwa said there is the need for parents to be ready and determined to give the best training for their children, adding that everybody is responsible, thus all must rise above indifference.
“We must seek knowledge and translate it into responsible actions”, Giwa advised.
