Amarachi Uzoma has clinched Team Kwara’s gold medal in the Long Jump event on Tuesday at the ongoing 9th National Youth Games with a leap of 4.04m.
Originally placed second with silver, Uzoma was later upgraded to gold after the initial winner from Imo State was disqualified for age falsification.
An elated Amarachi expressed joy at the feat, noting that this is her first medal at a National event.
She appreciated her coach, Coach Aminu, teammates, and others for their guidance and support in her journey.
