Over One Hundred Residents of Akinmoorin and its neighbouring communities, on wednesday benefited from a comprehensive free healthcare.
The three – day medical outreach, held at the Primary Health Care Center , Akinmoorin , Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State was organized by Akinmoorin Youths .

Speaking at the event, Amoorin of Akinmoorin, Oba Solomon Iyiola Olayemi, applauded the commitment of the youths and their partner to the progress of Akinmoorin.
Oba Olayemi, represented by Otun Amoorin Kingdom, Chief Agboyin Taiwo, affirmed that the initiative will improve the wellbeing of residents of Akinmoorin and its environs, particularly the beneficiaries.
He prayed for the progress of the group, its partners and community at large .
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Tunrayo Owolabi and Mrs .Funmilayo Samuel, described the medical outreach as impactful. The duo expressed gratitude to God and the organizers for the initiative.
Also speaking, Gabriel Babatunde Atenibiaje, the Onsa of Akinmoorin and one of the organizers, said the outreach was a deliberate effort by the youths to contribute their quota to the development of the community. He noted that everyone was attended to regardless of illness, except for cases requiring surgical operations. He emphasised that the presence of the chiefs underscored the importance of the initiative.
The Director of Primary Health Care, Afijio Health Authority, Akinmoorin, Iyaafin Ojeleke Folashade, described the programme as another milestone in the ongoing partnership between the youth wing and the health centre.
She recalled that last year, the youths renovated the facility, and this year they extended water from the borehole into the centre.
Folashade expressed gratitude to Amoorin, the Chiefs and residents of the town for their cooperation. She disclosed that over 100 people benefited from the free medical services, medications, and essential health interventions.
According to her, about 75 percent of the beneficiaries were eldely people, three percent goes to young children while the youths take the remaining precent. Pregnant women also received maternal support items, and students were not left out.
She praised the youths for consistently yielding to professional guidance and called for even greater contributions in the future.
She was accompanied by Iyaafin Oladejo Adedoyin, Omidan Aderoju Idowu, Omidan Badmus Kamilat, Iyaafin Ayansola Yetunde, Iyaadin Adediwura, Arakunrin Adetayo Olakunle, Gbadamosi Rasheed from Jobele, and others representing Dr. Odedeji, who was attending a meeting at the Afijio Secretariat.
Community leaders and residents, however, prayed for continued progress of Akinmoorin and the sustainability of developmental Programmes .
