The Oyo State Government has announced the coronation ceremony and presentation of Staff of Office to three newly elevated traditional rulers in Ibadanland as beaded – wearing obas .
The elevated monarchs are His Royal Highness, Oba Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin, the Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland; His Royal Highness, Oba Oyekola Babalola, SAN, the Ekarun Olubadan of Ibadanland; and His Royal Highness, Oba Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, the Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland.
In a statement by the commissioner for information, Prince Dotun Oyelade , the epoch making event is scheduled to hold on Friday, 3rd April 2026, at the historic Mapo Hall Grounds, Ibadan, starting from 10:00 a.m.
Dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include the traditional rulers , government officials, members of the public among others.
