
The Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade, has emphasized the importance of regular exercise in maintaining a healthy and productive lifestyle, urging Nigerians to embrace regular exercise as a daily routine.
Hon. Olopade made this known on Thursday during the Commission’s weekly Walking and Jogging Exercise held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. The fitness session, which drew enthusiastic participation from NSC staff, is part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to promote wellness and active living among its workforce and the general public.
In a release issued on Thursday by Aderonke Ojo, the Director General commended staffers of the commission for their commitment to the weekly exercise programme . He urged Nigerians to cultivate a consistent culture of physical fitness.

He explained that the initiative is not only aimed at improving the health of NSC staff but also at inspiring communities across the country to adopt active lifestyles.
Decked in sportswear and full of energy, the NSC boss joined other participants on the tracks, reinforcing his belief that physical activity is essential for both physical and mental well-being.
“Exercise is not just for athletes; it is for everyone who desires to live a healthy, balanced, and productive life,” Hon. Olopade stated. “At the NSC, we are committed to leading by example and encouraging Nigerians to prioritize fitness and wellness.”
“A nation that is physically active is a nation that thrives. Regular exercise enhances productivity, reduces stress, and strengthens our overall well-being,” he added.
