All is set for the third edition of Engineer Musa Kida Basketball under 17 Competition.
The two day event will begin on Thursday, while the sponsor , Engr Musa is expected to declare the event open.
The competition promises to be exciting as it gives players the platform to showcase thier talents .
Over 200 players from 10 teams including schools will participate in the competition taking place at the Giant of Africa basketball court, Abesan mini stadium,Ipaja, Lagos .
Some of the participating teams are slashers,Ravens,Dodan Cadet, Warlords,JF Warriors, Honeybase schools, Doregos Private Academy and High Dreams.
Others are MC Spenser,Estate Kings ,Mighty favour college and Francis College.
Coordinator of the event , Tayo Adeyemo confirmed that the top three in boys and girls category will get medals while the winners will receive brand new trophy .
Eng Musa Kida sponsor of the will also be on ground to present trophies and medals during the final.
The NBBF President is urging more grassroots programme for game of basketball in Nigeria.
According to him,event of this nature will help discover more hidden talents for the country .
Meanwhile, Prostar Sports, the official kit partner of the Musa Kida Basketball Competition has promised greater support for the competition.
Chief Paul Maduokor,Managing Director of Prostar Sports, said the company will continue to invest in Nigeria Youths through sport Sponsorship.
The Company donated 6 set of jerseys ,match balls ,individual awards and Teeshirts at the last edition held in 2024 .
