
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a change in the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force, announcing the Assistant Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu as the new Inspector-General of Police.
Security sources confirmed on Tuesday that the appointment has been concluded and that formal procedures to effect the transition are already in motion. An official announcement from the Presidency is expected shortly.

AIG Disu is a senior officer with extensive operational and intelligence experience. He has previously served as Commissioner of Police in Rivers State and headed the Intelligence Response Team, a key unit involved in counterterrorism and anti-kidnapping operations.
