
Ahead of 2026 Nationwide League One (NLO 1) Season , Best Talent Football Club of Mowe, have undergone mandatory pre-season medical screenings.
Adeyinka Adeyemo’s boys were part of the early birds at Ogun State Medical Centre for the exercise.

The Nationwide League One (NLO) had notified all teams through the State FA Secretaries of the requirements for the Pre-competition Medical Assessment (PCMA) exercise for the 2026 season.

In a letter signed by the League COO, Dr. Olusola Ogunnowo, the NLO, said the health and safety of the athletes is it’s highest priority as it listed eligibility criterion for teams, which are Evidence of Payment and Collection of Players Licenses.

The checks which are essential to ensure players are fit and maintain the integrity of NLO records, has 44 players disqualified for health issues across different teams except Best Talent Football Club whose clean bill of health was certified by medical practitioners.
Part of the medical screening approved by the Board of third tier league include cardiovascular, fitness, and general checks, often using Electrocardiogram (ECG) tests to identify risks.
Dr Shola Ogunnowo warned that Clubs, failing to produce a valid NLO-issued license or failing the medicals are not elligible to participate and will be barred from participating in the forthcoming season so as to avoid conditions like systemic hypertension, heart failure among others.

The screening has specialized centres designated for different regions.
Similarly, the Nigeria Premier Football League outfit, Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan (3SC), will play hosts to the Ogun State Football giants, Best Talent FC, today, Wednesday, 25th March, 2026 at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan by 4pm as part of preparations by Best Talent FC for the coming football season .
