Borno Environmental Agency Boss Tasks Residents on good hygiene

The General Manager, Borno State Environmental Protection Agency (BOSEPA) , Alhaji Abubakar Suleiman, has
urged residents of the state to always keep their environment clean, saying this would not only improve the quality of life of the people but attract investors and tourists to the state .

Speaking further shortly after receiving the governor of the state, Prof.Babagana Umara Zulum, who returned to the country today around 1:50pm at Muhammad Buhari International Airport, Maiduguri from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he took part in this year’s Hajj, said the need for residents to be proactive and take responsibility to ensuring a clean and healthier environment cannot be over emphasized.

He reiterated the effects of pollution and waste dumped wrongly in the environment on public health and ecosystem.

He also called on the citizens to support the government on her waste management and Environmental conservation strides .

Alhaji Abubakar, while appreciating the governor of the state for giving him the opportunity to be part of his cabinet , promised the people of the state and relevant stakeholders harmonious working relationship to further achieve the given mandates.
