
The Director General of the Oyo State Mobilization Agency for Socio-Economic Development (OYMASED)Dr Morohunkola Thomas has felicitated the Muslim Ummah on this year’s Eid-al -Fitr celebration.
In his sallah message, Dr Morohunkola Thomas urged Muslims to sustain the lessons of Ramadan and continue to pray for the peace of
Oyo State and the country.
The DG OYMASED also emphasized the need for Muslims to continue to live up in the tenets of their faith through acts of charity, peaceful co-existence and obedience to the injunctions of the Holy Quran.
While calling for safety precautions during the Eid-il Fitril celebration, Dr Morohunkola Thomas said the state government still has a zero tolerance to indiscipline, mis- management of crowd control, youth crime and drug abuse, hence ‘we should celebrate with caution’.
The Director General of OYMASED also noted the criminality, banditry being experienced at Oyo Township, Ogbomoso, Ibarapa as well as some parts of Ibadan can be curbed if people live in harmony and be their brothers keeper.
He commended the security architecture put in place by Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, noting that the priority given to security matters is helping in the expansion of the state’s economy and the thriving of businesses in the state.
He also called on people to be security conscious and report suspicious movement around them during the celebration and after.
