El- Kanemi Warriors Return to NPFL As Technical Adviser Appreciates Governor , Others For Immense Support

El-Kanemi Warriors of Borno State on Wednesday returned to the apex football league in the country ( NPFL) after beating Sokoto United 4-1 in Enugu Center.

The Technical Adviser of the Club , Coach Aliyu Zubairu , who was overwhelmed by the result, thanked the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency , Prof. Babagana Umara for the opportunity given to him to lead the mighty Warriors .

He also extended his appreciation to the Commissioner, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development in the State , Hon .Saina Buba, his technical crew, players , and teeming fans for their support during their spell in the NNL.

Coach Zubairu tutored side won two games and lost one to attain the new feat. El- Kanemi Warriors are among the semifinalists of the ongoing presidential federation cup .

Similarly, Lagos Based Side , Ikorodu City FC picked the NPFL ticket following their spectacular performances in the just concluded NNL super 8 playoffs.

The Oga Boys finished the campaign as runners up with five points.

Beyond Limits FA also secured promotion to the NPFL having emerged as table leaders .

The returnees were El- Kanemi Warriors, Nasarawa United , while Beyond Limits FA and Ikorodu City FC are new comers in the Nigeria Premier football league.
