Enyimba FC suffered another disappointing home defeat on Matchday 5 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), losing 3-2 to Sporting Lagos in a thrilling encounter.
The result compounds Enyimba’s struggles on home soil, as Sporting Lagos held their nerve to secure a valuable three points away from home.
Elsewhere, Kano Pillars earned an important away point after playing out a 1-1 draw with Inter Lagos. Warri Wolves also secured a point on the road, holding Niger Tornadoes to a goalless draw.
Plateau United produced a solid away performance against Doma United, with both sides sharing the points after a 2-2 draw.
Rangers recorded a narrow 1-0 victory over Ranchers Bees, while Barau FC enjoyed a comfortable 2-0 win over Abia Warriors.
Bendel Insurance also claimed all three points after defeating Ikorodu City 2-1, while Shooting Stars secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Katsina United.
Kwara United completed the home victories with a 2-1 win against Nasarawa United.
