Former Super Falcons Goalkeeper , Judith Chime has promised to change the face of Nigeria Football if elected as the President of the Nigeria Football Federation in the forthcoming election of the association.
Speaking with Faith Akindele ( Mr Stereo) on his Sport Show , Sport Gallery on Crowther 88.5 FM Oyo, Chime revealed that her decision to contest for the position is to correct some abnormalities identified in the football governing body.
She expressed displeasure in the engagement of a single coach to manage two national teams at a time, noting that ex- footballers are not happy with the way things are going in the Nigeria football.
“The current Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Alhaji Gusau has tried his best and kudos to him but I believe I can do better.
“First, I want to change the habit of giving a coach two jobs , once you are appointed as a national team coach in any capacity, that is enough, you can’t be managing a club and be managing the national team together, such has to stop.
“Secondly , I will make sure our teams go to any competition to compete not just to participate because we cant be wasting our resources we need to start to compete in major competitions.
“Lastly, I will focus more on the development of sports in the grassroots . I will also bring back passion into our respective national teams . During our time, we played for passion, we are always happy wearing that green white green that same spirit needs to be brought back and so other things I have in mind if voted and elected as NFF President, I want to make history and with God it will happen .
