NAHCON reaffirms adherence to ethical standards
says CEO’s investigation by EFCC not an indictment
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria ( NAHCON ), has revealed that the investigation conducted recently by the Economic Finance Crimes Commission for the Chief Executive Officer of the Commission / Chairman, Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi was not an indictment but a normal process of safeguarding public interest.
This is contained In a release issued on behalf of the commission boss by the Assistant Director / Public Affairs , NAHCON, Fatima Sanda Usara and made available to journalists on Wednesday.
The release reaffirmed total adherence of the commission to transparency and ethical standards in the discharge of its duties and responsibilities.
The release added that the commission remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethics in its dealings.
The National Hajj Commission said further that it would continue to Cooperate fully with any investigative body , while appreciating the support and understanding from well- wishers towards its chairman during the period of investigation.
“The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) would like to express its heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming concern shown for its Chairman, Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi, after news broke out that he was invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for questioning.The outpour of love and concern was amazing.
“The NAHCON helmsman was invited on the 29th June for questioning surrounding conduct of 2024 Hajj. While this situation might have understandably caused some concerns among friends and well-wishers.
“As an organization, Hajj Commission remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethics in its dealings. Pilgrims have always been at the heart of our engagements, and we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence that government placed in the Commission.
