The Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, has assured the newly appointed Deputy Provost of the College, Dr. M. A. Oladimeji, of its continued support, cooperation, and commitment to a cordial working relationship with his office.
The Chairman of the Union , Comr. Badmus Tolulope Adekunle, gave the assurance during a courtesy visit to the office of the deputy provost.
Congratulating Dr. Oladimeji on his emergence as Deputy Provost, Comrade Badmus described the appointment as a testament to the fact that society has its natural way of recognising diligence, competence, dedication, and good virtues.
Comr. Badmus underscored the importance of Non-Academic Staff in the effective functioning and administration of every organisation, particularly educational institutions. He noted that the smooth running and success of the College cannot be achieved without the contributions of the non-academic workforce.
The NASU Chairman assured the new Deputy Provost of the Union’s readiness to give him all necessary support within its capacity. He further expressed the Union’s willingness to work collaboratively with his office and other stakeholders towards the continued growth, peace, and development of the College.
In his response, the Deputy Provost, Dr. M. A. Oladimeji, expressed his appreciation to the NASU Executive for the courtesy visit and congratulatory gesture. He reiterated the important role of NASU in every institution, particularly in the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo.
Dr. Oladimeji charged the Union leadership to continue to engage the College Management constructively on issues affecting its members and the institution at large. He emphasised the importance of dialogue and mutual understanding in resolving issues and promoting industrial harmony.
The Deputy Provost added that the Union should always leverage on the fact that the Provost, Dr. A. R. Salami, is a listening leader who cherishes the welfare and well-being of all categories of staff. He therefore encouraged the Union to continue its constructive engagement with Management, expressing confidence that such collaboration would further strengthen the peaceful and progressive atmosphere in the College.
The visit culminated in the presentation of a congratulatory greeting frame by the NASU Executive to the Deputy Provost, Dr. M. A. Oladimeji, as a gesture of goodwill, solidarity, and support.
