NLO24: Best Talent Beat BFUT , 2 -0, Maintains First Position

… As Team Head Coach , Yinka Popoola, urges Referees to uphold the rules of the game

Best Talent Football Club of Mowe yesterday defeated BFUT 2-0 at the Match Day 5 of the ongoing Nationwide League one held at Shagamu Centre.

The two goals were scored by Amoo Dauda and Adeosun Ibrahim to hold forth on the summit of the league at the Ogun State zone.

Other results of the third tier of Nigeria league played at Ebedei Stadium, Shagamu , FC Ebedei beat Lasegski 1-0 while Dino Sporting battered Olumo United 12-0 and Customs FC lost 1-2 to Juvenile FC .

Speaking after the match, the Head coach of Best Talent Football Club, Coach Yinka Popoola , popularly known as Gullit , commended his boys for their doggedness and determination displayed during the game .

He however expressed optimism that the team will continue to push till the very end to ensure they meet the target set by the club.

He used the medium to thank the club Chairman, Mr Adeyinka Adeyemo for the support he’s giving to the team.

His words: ” I wish to sincerely appreciate the Almighty God for His grace over us. He has been the one keeping and sustaining us till this time. My philosophy is that I don’t compromise standard and that is a sign of integrity which will naturally make your players to respect you.”.

” My boys are doing well sticking to instructions and the Chairman, Mr Adeyinka Adeyemo has been very supportive too, giving us everything we need in terms of logistics and financial aid”.

On the performance of the referees, he said the referees are living up to the standard and he urged them to continue to uphold the rules of the game.

” I think so far so good, the referees here are doing well and I hope they will sustain the tempo. Good name is better than gold and silver. They should just maintain the tempo as the whole world is watching the match live through Livestreaming.”. He concluded.

Best Talent FC after Match Day 5 tops the table with 13 points , FC Ebedei , 11points ,while Juvenile are 4th on the log with 9 points . BFUT, Customs , Lasegski and Olumo United occupy 5th, 6th and 7th positions respectively.

The match Day 6 at the center continues on Friday as Brst Talent play host to Juvenile FC.
