Ogasibe FC Wins Ogo Oyo Ileya Youth Cup

Ogasibe FC of Iseke on Monday defeated Model FC, Isokun 5 -2 to lift the 2024 Ogo Oyo Ileya Unity Cup .

The highly respected team got the opener in the first half of the tournament proudly sponsored by the Hon.Member , representing Afijio, Atiba , Oyo East and Oyo West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Prince AKeem Adeniyi Adeyemi .

The second stanza of the encounter played at Oba Lamidi Adeyemi Stadium, Ode – Aremo , Akesan , Oyo, took another dimension as Ogasibe FC dominated the game with coordinated passes and movements which resulted to four additional goals .

Model FC managed to pull two back but not enough for them to be celebrated .

In a chat with the proprietor of Ogasibe FC, Mr. Afeez Oladele , popularly known as ” Ogasibe ” said the reason for his Continuous Support for the team is to assist the players achieve their goals .

Oladele , who is a fan of FC Barcelona, enjoined his players to continue to put in their best to achieve greater heights.

Also speaking, Captain of the team, Ibrahim Akorede, lauded Prince AKeem Adeyemi for providing platform for the players in the town to showcase their potentials.

Akorede, who acknowledged the expertise of the organizers of the competition led by Ace Journalist, Dayo Ojo advocated for more security measures like perimeter fence at the stadium that would prevent the fans and supporters from field encroachment during matches

The champions were rewarded with Trophy and Cash Prize , while runners up and third position , Horskid FC of Oke Olola received cash prizes.
