OMITUNTUN BENEDICT FOUNDATION APPEALS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF FOUNDER
Omituntun Benedict Foundation( OBF), has appealed to relevant authorities and security agencies to assist the group in securing the immediate, safe and unconditional release of its founder, Chief Benedict Akika
The group in a release issued on Thursday by the its media advisory , Olusegun Taiwo , expressed deep concern about the ugly incident that occured on Wednesday, 4th September, 2024 .
According to the release , Chief Agba’Akin Akika was taken away by unknown gunmen at his residence, Idi-Ape Akobo Olorunda-Abaa Ibadan at 9pm within a group of his followers.
“We condemn this act of violence and demand the immediate and unconditional release of our Founder. Chief Benedict Akika is a respected member of the community, dedicated to empowerment and support.
“We are deeply worried about the safety and well-being of our Founder. We appeal to the relevant authorities to act and ensure the immediate and safe release of our boss “
“However, the Organisation wishes to inform the public that no one was feared killed as claimed by earlier unconfirmed reports.
“Omituntun Benedict Foundation calls on all relevant authorities, including law enforcement agencies and government officials, to work together to secure the release of our Founder in ernest .
“We also appeal to the general public to be prayerful and watchful for his safe return”
