
ACCORD Oyo Central Senatorial District hopeful, Ambassador Shakirullah Jimoh-Orankan shined the brightest at the enlarged meeting of the Akinyele local government ACCORD.
The meeting held at the Oja’gbe, Moniya area was convened to ratify the party’s local government executives and unite members for a common front ahead of the 2027 general election.

Ambassador Orankan, whose elegant entry into the venue coincided with the entry of Alhaji (Dr) Oriyomi Hamzat was welcomed by ecstatic teeming supporters with big and bold placards displaying posters of the duo, with dance and happiness.


Ambassador Orankan was ushered into the VIP table, taking his seat next to the ACCORD governorship hopeful amidst the state working committee, led by Prince Kolade Ojo and the ACCORD National Secretary, Hon. (Dr) Adebukola Abiola Ajaja.

When it was his turn to pay homage to the party leadership, Ambassador Orankan paraded the best campaign train, comprising sizeable number of the Orankan Support Group (OSG), from different local government areas of the Oyo Central Senatorial District.
The well organized Orankan supporters marched through the venue towards the podium to the admiration of all, thereby sending unmistakable message to those parading themselves as aspirants for the same position that Orankan is ready, determined and equally prepared for 2027 to realise his dream of responsive, responsible and people-centred legislative assignment at the Red Chamber.
It is noteworthy to state that Ambassador Orankan’s Posters and the Billboard erected in strategic locations around the venue, especially inside the popular Oja’gbe Market was the cynosure of all eyes and topical issue on the lips of many ACCORD supporters and by passers.

Ambassador Orankan was cheered with knuckles to show fraternity and companionship by the ACCORD National Secretary, Hon. (Dr) Adebukola Abiola Ajaja, the ACCORD State Chairman, Prince Kolade Ojo, the ACCORD State Secretary, Hon. Olayinka Dairo and other executives.
On a side attraction, Ambassador Orankan was chosen for an interview session with the Oriyomi Hamzat Media Crew and the encounter afforded him the apple opportunity to unveil part of his vision for the Constituents.
Ambassador Orankan also said the increasing number of ACCORD is a clear signal for the opposition to know beyond reasonable doubt that the party will coast to victory in the forthcoming elections.
He advised party supporters to remain calm, mobilise more people into the party fold for a landslide success during the next general election.
Ambassador Orankan also acknowledged cheers from the OSG, as he strolled through the Tents to exchange pleasantries with them, thereby magnifying joyous feelings among them.
Earlier in an address of welcome by a chieftain of ACCORD, Dr Mustafa Adegboyega Lateef expressed gratitude to Dr Ajaja for holding forth the party structure and for the support for Dr Oriyomi Hamzat, praying God to grant the party victory to govern Oyo state, and produce lawmakers at the state and National Assembly for the faithful to reap the fruit of their efforts.
In a brief remark, the ACCORD State Secretary Hon. Olayinka Dairo described Akinyele as the local government where history is about to be written in 2027.
The ACCORD State Chairman, Prince Kolade Ojo while receiving some defectors from the PDP into the party, remarked that massive vote will be garnered by ACCORD from Akinyele, saying the party provides level-playing ground for all members without discrimination.
Prince Ojo appealed to aspirants to mobilise more people into the party, assist in collection of the Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).
Defectors from the All Progressives Congress, (APC), and the All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) were also welcomed into the ACCORD.
In his address, the ACCORD governorship hopeful, Alhaji (Dr) Oriyomi Hamzat stated that the opposition camps are in disarray, urging those who want to be part of the incoming administration in the Pace Setter state to join the party.
He announced that the list of the party executives of the local government had been ratified and sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), asserting that the ACCORD is united without factions.
Alhaji Oriyomi pleaded with aspirants to rally anyone who has the party ticket for all to be compensated with appointments in government.
On a wrap up note, the ACCORD National Secretary Hon. (Dr) Adebukola Abiola Ajaja praised God for the successful outing, commended the orderliness of the supporters, adding that Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat is divinely ordained to govern Oyo state.
Oluyole local government is next to hold a similar enlarged ACCORD stakeholders meeting next Friday 24th April, 2026.
