Oyo Education Ministry Honors 42 Retirees
Forty- two Civil workers in the public service of Oyo state that served in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology from 2022-2024 have been Honoured by the ministry for their dedication and selfless services while in service .
Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof.Salihu Adelabu, while speaking at the retirement party organized by the ministry in honour of the retirees at Wesley College of Science , Elekuro Ibadan , praised their contributions to the development of the education sector.
He commended the retirees for their tireless efforts, commitment and sacrifices, which have significantly impacted the lives of numerous students and the education system as a whole.
He said:“Today, we gather to celebrate the remarkable careers of our esteemed colleagues, who have selflessly served this Ministry with distinction. Your contributions have been invaluable, and your legacies will continue to inspire and motivate us.”
The retirees, who have collectively served for over 30–35 years, were hailed as heroes and trailblazers in the education sector.
The ceremony was attended by top officials from the Ministry, family members, and friends of the retirees, who came to show their support and appreciation for their loved ones.
The event witnessed presentation of gifts to the retirees by the commissioner for education , wining and dining amongst others.
