Oyo Governor’s Cup: Awe High School Crowns Champions of Oyo Zone

The Champions of the Ongoing 2024 Governor’s Cup Secondary Schools Football competition in Oyo zone have emerged.

Awe High School, Awe is to represent Oyo Zone in the next stage of the tournament holding across the geo- political zones of the pacesetter state .

The school got the ticket with a 3 – 1 victory over Ladigbolu Grammar School , Oyo at the final match played on Wednesday at Durbar, Stadium , Oyo .

Awe High School denied Anglican Methodist School, Oyo the opportunity to be at the final following their 3-2 win via penalty kicks as the regulation time ended 3-3 .

In their previous encounters , Awe High School thrashed Akinmorin Grammar, School , 6 goals to nil , while the squad also beat St Joseph’s Grammar School, Awe , 3 -0 .

Recall that the football team under the tutelage of Coach Achile Victor defeated Fiditi Grammar School 5 – 1 to emerge winners at Afijio local government , and now champions of Oyo and its environs which comprises of Oyo East, Oyo West and Atiba local governments.
