Oyo Govt Arrests 13 Suspects Over Attack On Environmental Compliance Enforcement Team

Oyo State Government, on Tuesday arrested Thirteen (13) suspects in connection with a recent attack on the Convoy of the Honourable Commissioner for environment and his team, during an official monitoring and compliance enforcement against filth and illegal occupation of public spaces, at Mobil, area, Ring road, Ibadan.

The Honourable Commissioner against the backdrop of the incident on Monday, mobilized Environmental Officials to the black spot where the Thirteen Suspect were apprehended and handed over to law enforcement agency.

Architect Mogbonjubola, in a chat with Journalists reiterated the commitment of his team in achieving the mandate of a Sparkling Clean and sustainable environment agenda of the present administration.

The commissioner warned shanties and shop owners against further illegal occupation of open space. He also advised them to vacate the area for government approved neighborhood markets.

Government vehicles were damaged during the attack but no record of injury.
