Oyo Teacher, Abiodun Nwagbo wins 2024 Maltina Teacher Award


as Edu Comm commends Abiodun’s sterling performance

The Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Salihu Adelabu has eulogised the sterling performance of one of the secondary school teachers in the state, Abiodun Regina Nwagbo, an agricultural science and economics teacher at Mother’s Joy College,Ibadan , who won the 2024 Maltina Teacher of the Year (MToY) Award Competition.

The Commissioner gave the commendation on Monday while receiving her (Abiodun Regina Nwagbo) in his office, Agodi , Secretariat, Ibadan.

He described Nwagbo as a shining star whom the state government is proud of and considered a diligent, resourceful and committed teacher.

“Oyo State is proud of you. I’m especially pleased with you. Your dedication and enthusiasm for your work have paid off, it has brought you honor, prosperity, and recognition,” the commissioner said.

“Now, we see you as a good example to other teachers, the groundwork for others has been established by you. While I beg others to take a cue from you. Just make sure you maintain the tempo and even exceed it.
In her remarks, Abiodun Nwagbo thanked the Oyo state government, the Education Ministry and her school principal for the opportunity given to her to represent the pacesetter state at the contest.

She equally thanked the Nigerian Breweries Plc for honouring her.

MToY Award is an annual competition organized and sponsored by Nigerian Breweries Plc under its social corporate arm .
