Rehoboth FC Unveils New Season’s Jerseys, Website, Others As Club Holds 2nd Unity Cup
The products of Rehoboth Football Club in Nigeria and Abroad, Football Stakeholders in Oyo state and beyond alongside football lovers gathered on Saturday at Durbar Stadium , Oyo town for the Second Edition of the Club’s Unity Club .
The club also use the occasion to launch her website (rehobothfc.com.ng) which is aimed to introduce prosperous young players in the team to the world for greener pasture , and also unveiled the club jerseys for the upcoming football season.
The novelty game between the foreign and home based players of the club ended 1- 0 in favour of the foreign based players with the lone goal scored by Michael Dare in the first half of the thrilling encounter.
The President, Rehoboth Football Foundation and Rehoboth Football Club, Oyeyemi Samuel , said the idea of Annual Unity Cup was conceived to forestall unity among the foreign and home based players and to also encourage young players in Oyo town and its environs.
He expressed optimism that the initiative would also encourage other parents to release their children for the game seeing indigenes of Oyo town who are doing great overseas as players .
Oyeyemi , who advocated for the development of football at the grassroots, encouraged his players to be more determined and make hard work their watch word.
” I want to really appreciate God for what he has done so far. We deem it fit to have a website so that people can see what we are doing globally and it will help us to market our players.”
For the FIFA connect and TMS , no club will take our players illegally , agents will have to come to us . To foreign based players, I want to encourage them to keep working and keep pushing. Oyeyemi added .
Speaking on behalf of foreign base players , Babajide David Akintola, expressed delight in the development of football in Oyo town and urged concerned individuals to continue in that manner .
Babajide advised the players of the team to remain focused and take advantage of opportunities that might come to them .
He speaks further: “It’s always good to come back home and see my people show me love.It means a lot to me and i really appreciate the gesture.
” The younger players should be focused , work hard , work smart, anytime they have opportunities,they should take it , and I also hope to be part of their lives and help them ”
The event which had in attendence , the Head Coach, Shooting Stars Team B Coach Ayo Adeyemo and a host of others featured presentation of awards by Ibadan International Supporters led by Iba Rahmon Raji , Trophy to the winners amongst others.
