
The President of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Oyo State Branch, Comrade Fasasi Abdullahi Babatunde, has felicitated teachers across the state on the occasion of the 2026 World Teachers’ Day, commending their dedication, sacrifice and commitment to providing quality education to the younger generation.
The ANCOPSS President, in a goodwill message to mark the annual celebration, described teachers as critical stakeholders in the development of the education sector and nation-building, noting that their contributions extend beyond classroom teaching to shaping the character, skills and future of students.

He appreciated teachers in public and Private schools across Oyo State for their resilience and commitment to duty despite the various challenges confronting the education sector.

According to him, effective teaching remains fundamental to achieving sustainable development, stressing that no society can attain meaningful progress without investing in its teachers and providing them with the necessary tools and conducive working environment.


The ANCOPSS President also called on governments, parents, education stakeholders and members of the public to continue to support teachers and accord them the respect and recognition they deserve.
He urged teachers to remain committed to professionalism, discipline, continuous learning and the promotion of moral values among students.
He assured teachers that ANCOPSS would continue to advocate policies and programmes that would enhance their welfare, professional development and effectiveness in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He congratulated teachers on the celebration, wishing them greater accomplishments and fulfilment in their service to humanity.
“Happy World Teachers’ Day to all our dedicated teachers. Your commitment to educating and moulding future generations remains invaluable. We appreciate your sacrifices and urge you to continue to uphold the noble profession,” he said.
