The athletes representing Osun State Polytechnic, Iree at the ongoing 22nd NIPOGA GAMES have continued to make the institution proud in various sporting activities.
The prestigious championship tagged ” Ijakadi Games” holding at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa saw Osun State Polytechnic , Iree defeating Federal Polytechnic, Oko 2- 0 in a round of 16 game played yesterday at the Ofa township stadium, Ofa.
The male handball team will fight for bronze medal today having lost the final ticket to their counterparts from the Federal Polytechnic, Barkin- Ladi, Plateau State on Tuesday.
The female handball team of the institution will also be in action today for the semi finals following the postponement of the game earlier scheduled for yesterday by the organizer.
The institution has won two bronze medals so far , one in athletics and one in the female table tennis, single, hoping to win more medals in sporting events with comparative advantage.
