Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has allayed the fear of parents and guardians of students of the institution over a conflict that ensued on Tuesday between two rival groups of students in the Institution.
In a statement by the Registrar of the Institution, Mr Abiodun Oloyede , revealed that normal administrative and academic activities are ongoing in the institution.
The statement reads “our students are safe, our campus is calm, students are going on with their lectures and other academic engagements while staffers are going about their administrative duties”
The Registrar also noted that the Anti Cultism Squad of the Nigeria Police and other Security operatives are fully on ground to forestall any suspected crisis.
The statement called on parents and guardians not to entertain any fear, saying there is no cause for alarm.
Also, the two students who were said to have sustained minor injuries have been discharged after they were treated in the school’s clinic.
