Borno Governor Appoints Malam Ibrahim Mustapha As El-Warriors FC Board Chairman

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum , has appointed Malam Ibrahim Mainu Mustapha as substantive Board Chairman of El-kanemi Warriors Football Club of Maiduguri alongside other six personalities to steer the affairs of the Board.
This was contained in a letter signed on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bukar Tijani .

According to the letter , the government also appointed Tahir Bala as Secretary to the Board, while Waziri Isa , Usman Mohammed Zumami and Ibrahim Mohammed are to serve as members.
Other members are Alhaji Maliki Mohammed and representative of the Commissioner of Police in the state.

The letter reads ” Your appointment as Chairman and Members of the Board is based on your unalloyed support and commitment to the growth of El- Kanemi Warriors Football Club and development of sports, in general, in the state”.

” I therefore enjoin you to continue to strive harder to take football and indeed sports to greater heights in Borno State “.

Alhaji Tijani , however, congratulated the newly appointees on the appointments which he described as well deserved. He also wish them fruitful tenure.
