Justice Kamorudeen Olawoyin approved their bail applications during a ruling on Monday, setting bail at ₦10 million each with two sureties of the same amount.

Additionally, the court directed that Agidigbo FM must refrain from broadcasting any news related to the ongoing trial.

The defendants had filed their bail applications last Tuesday, with their legal team arguing that they posed no flight risk and were prepared to cooperate with the investigation.

The trio are facing a four-count charge, including negligence and criminal conspiracy, in connection with a tragic stampede at the Islamic High School, Basorun, during a children’s funfair. The incident claimed the lives of approximately 35 children.

Recall that the Oyo State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Abiodun Aikomo, opposed the applications, citing the gravity of the charges and the need to ensure accountability for the victims.
